Welcome to Mount Carmel HELPS, Inc. Founded by Dr. Jackie and Dr. Linda Gary, our organization is dedicated to making a positive impact in our community. With a shared vision and extensive expertise, it is our mission to provide support, resources, and care to those in need.
Dr. Linda Gary, CEO
Dr. Linda Gary, a proud wife and mother, is a Chief Apostle and CEO who has dedicated her life to empowering her community through service, faith, and family. As a serial entrepreneur and mentor, Dr. Gary has built a legacy transforming lives by focusing on positive impact and community building. Her professional work spans across multiple business, non-profit leadership and community-driven solutions making her a respected leader in North Carolina, and beyond.

Dr. Gary is the Founder and CEO of Mount Carmel Helps, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Through her leadership, Mount Carmel Helps, Inc has been a lifeline for thousands of underserved residents across Eastern North Carolina. From food insecurity to mental health, housing, and veteran services, Dr. Gary’s mission is to reduce barriers that keep people from experiencing life to its fullest. In addition, Mount Carmel Helps, Inc. has achieved World-Class recognition for mitigating the spread of COVID-19.

Dr. Gary’s dedication to service, faith, and community stands as a testament to her unwavering commitment to uplifting those around her. During her professional career, Dr. Gary has earned numerous recognitions and awards for her work throughout the community. For her, a few of those awards are true milestones. In May 2008, Dr. Gary was publicly awarded a proclamation by Mayor Sammy Phillips and the City of Jacksonville, NC. The proclamation honored Dr. Gary for her commitment to community through endless acts of selflessness. On May 17, 2008 it was deemed as “Pastor Linda Gary Day”. On January 19, 2010, the Jacksonville City Council awarded and recognized Dr. Gary for the Support to the Community through Holiday Harvest on Wheels”. This is a yearly function in which Dr. Gary orchestrates the feeding of thousands of families and individuals. In December 2014, was bestowed with the “Long Leaf Pine Award”, the highest award in the State of North Carolina. The United Way and the Jacksonville Daily News honored Mount Carmel Helps, Inc and Dr. Gary with the “Golden Rule Light Keeper Award” for the abundant acts of feeding and caring for the community. In September 2022, Dr. Gary was awarded with The White Lotus Leadership Award.

On December 3, 2021, Dr. Gary was awarded The Eagle’s Award for her contribution in grants and services in the amount of one million dollars towards the counties of Eastern North Carolina. In March 2023, Dr. Gary received the Governor’s Award for Volunteer Service by Governor Roy Cooper of North Carolina. In addition, United Way inducted Dr. Gary and Mount Carmel Helps, Inc. into the Spirit Hall of Fame of Onslow County. Dr. Gary also received The President’s 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award.

Dr. Gary holds a Doctorate of Counseling and Psychology, Doctorate of Divinity, and a Masters in Business Administration, a Certified National Chaplin, and an Affirmed Apostle.
Dr. Gary is the proud wife to Apostle Dr. Jackie Gary and the mother of five children and fourteen grandchildren.

Dr. Jackie Gary, COO
Dr. Jackie Gary is the Chief Operations Officer of Mount Carmel Helps, Inc. Dr. Jackie is a native of Connecticut, and for over twenty years,
Dr. Jackie has made it his life’s work to devote to the care of the community, local and beyond. In partnership with the Dr. Linda Gary, the CEO of MCH, Dr. Jackie has provided counseling, employment, housing assistance, transportation, furniture, rental deposits, and utility deposits.
His selfless acts have been an integral part of the mission of Helping Every Lacking Person Succeed. In 2023, Dr. Jackie received the Pillar of Strength award and the President’s Lifetime Achievement award.
Dr. Jackie holds a Doctor of Divinity, Master of Divinity, Master of Counseling and Psychology, Bachelor of Biblical Studies, and Masters of Arts in Administration and Management.
